Original Squirrel Pencil Portrait

It took me about 16 hours of work. 

Done with graphite mechanical pencils on a white smooth Bristol paper.

100% vegan tools and materials.

I chose to draw a squirrel because of me missing seeing them in the wild. I grew up in a countryside so I was used to seeing them but it's been a little over 2 years since I moved to Prague and I managed to see them only 2 times so it's very rare. It always makes me happy to see them as they are so adorable. I also chose to draw it as squirrels are used as a hunting sport in certain countries which is inhuman to me as I'm someone who cares about animal welfare a lot. They feel the same emotions we feel - happiness, sadness, fear,….and I wish for this kind of sport to be gone as it's totally unnecessary.
